Soooo, we kicked off this week with a birthday party for one of Baby G’s playmates. It was held at an indoor bouncy house facility, and although she doesn’t quite understand the concept of “jump around,” she loved the toddler section and, of course, the balloons. (She pronounces them as “bah-boomms”)
This is also the last week of her taking Infant Swim Survival Lessons, and I’m now 100% confident that she wouldn’t drown if she accidentally fell into one of our state’s creeks, lakes, rivers, orrrr a friend’s pool. This was a MAJOR must for me and Mr. G. when deciding on things we wanted her to learn since we spend *a lot* of time outdoors and around water. (Warning: if you’re considering doing these, you must resist the urge to jump into the water during the classes. It’s hard at first, but over time, you learn to trust the awesome instructor(s))
On the gardening front, we still have HELL for weather here, but I’m doing what I can to keep all my plants alive for a major fall installation. I’ve sadly lost a few baby arborvitae to the heat. 🙁
On the writing front, I lined up a few fun things for my latest release (emotional/spicy novella), Forever Writing You. I postponed the date for I Wish I Would’ve Warned You for some much-needed family time, but I also set up some things for One Sweet Lie (billionaire romance) and a special edition cover reveal for Turbulence. I’ll follow up with a separate blog post for signups for that this week. I’m aiming to have a 4k-word writing night tonight, soooo if that goes well, I’ll update you with more news. (If it doesn’t go well, I’ll still update you 🙂 )
Oh, and I also signed some books for awesome readers Carmen S. and Nicole W. (thank you sooo much!), who ordered books from The F.L.Y. Store this week! <3
Onward + F.L.Y.
