Storm Francine made its way through Tennessee a couple of days ago, drenching everything in sight with nonstop rain, and we also lost power for a little while.
Alas, as the coffee-obsessed drinkers that we are, my mom and I cranked up our mini generator to get a fresh pot going in the dark.

Forget the fridge, the freezer, and all the other stuff-that-needs-power nonsense.
COFFEE COMES FIRST.
Because as long as we have a cup of that, life is good. 🙂
Baby G. attended one of her favorite neighbors’ birthday parties at a mini golf place and O.M.G., Y’ALL…They had RED VELVET CUPCAKES!!! I’ve never even thought about getting that flavor in cupcake form, but the next time I throw a gathering, It’s on my must-have list.
Me and Baby G finally had the chance to wear our matching Fourth of July sweatshirts and I think we look cute in them. I think… <3 (Why I ever bought them in the middle of June when it was hot as hell, I don’t know :-/ )
My sedum plants + magnolia tree were beyond grateful for the storm’s rain, and I’m looking forward to planting them in the ground next week!
F.L.Y. + Hope you had a good weekend, too!
Whit
