This past week was full of holiday prep, writing (of course), and making adjustments a-la-motherhood.
This was the first week in forever that I followed a consistent schedule with a daily 4 am wake-up until early afternoon writing session, and I’ll try again this week and see if it sticks. **fingers crossed**
Mr. G got me to give Waffle House a second try (via a different location), and it was SO GOOD and not at all like the last time. I had the waffle with pecans baked inside (AH-MAZING), and I also enjoyed their coffee! *avoids discussing my previous experience* shudders lol
We started decorating for the holidays early and finally used our Halloween cake mix by baking mini muffins. Mr. G. claimed he could frost/bake better than me, and, um…Well, check out his work for yourself below. (They tasted good–but I’m totally deducting points for presentation)
Baby G. is now in a tantrum-throwing/meltdown phase, up to about four daily episodes. Today’s meltdown–which featured full flailing and high-pitched screaming–came courtesy of a bright blue lollipop that I refused to buy at the Autoparts store.
I’ve been told this is all temporary, and I truly hope that’s the case.
(Pleaseeee let that be the case :-/ )
On the plus side, Baby G. loves sitting across from me and drawing while I write, so I’ve set aside some pink pens/markers just for her. 🙂
Hope your week was awesome (& tantrum-free)!
F.L.Y. + Happy Sunday,
Whit
F.L.Y. + Cheers to the week ahead!
